Equine Core Essentials
Core Essentials is a foundational, master herbal formulation, whole-food blend designed for daily use in the non-senior horse, supporting the core physiological systems that influence overall health, resilience, and adaptability.
This cut & sifted formula provides broad nutritional and functional support for digestion, immune regulation, lymphatic and elimination pathways, mineral balance, connective tissue integrity, circulation, metabolic function, and nervous system stability — systems that continually interact to influence how well the body maintains itself.
Rooted in a species-appropriate, forage-first approach, Core Essentials works with the horse’s natural biology by supplying a diverse range of whole-plant nutrients and phytochemistry rather than isolated nutrients alone. It is intentionally formulated for horses without active or chronic health concerns who need a strong daily nutritional foundation rather than corrective or highly targeted support.
By nourishing the gastrointestinal environment, supporting normal immune surveillance and inflammatory regulation, encouraging healthy lymphatic and urinary movement, supplying meaningful plant-based minerals and antioxidants, and supporting nervous-system regulation, Core Essentials helps maintain the internal conditions necessary for long-term physiological resilience.
Rather than attempting to “boost” individual systems, the formula recognizes that digestion, immunity, circulation, tissue integrity, metabolism, elimination, and nervous-system regulation are biologically interconnected. Supporting those relationships gives the body broader nutritional resources with which to adapt to changes in workload, environment, forage quality, seasonal demands, and everyday physiological stress.
Core Essentials is best viewed as the foundation of a whole-horse wellness program, complementing a species-appropriate, forage-centered diet while supporting long-term vitality, skin and coat quality, hoof and connective tissue integrity, musculoskeletal health, immune resilience, and overall metabolic function.
Why This Formulation Works
Core Essentials is intentionally not a “little bit of everything” supplement built around a long ingredient list. Each botanical contributes across multiple physiological systems, allowing a relatively focused formula to provide broad biological coverage without unnecessary ingredient stacking.
Nutritive herbs provide minerals, plant proteins, fibers, antioxidants, and other whole-food constituents, while more phytochemically active botanicals contribute polyphenols, flavonoids, aromatic compounds, mucilage, saponins, and other plant constituents with functional roles throughout digestion, immunity, circulation, connective tissues, microbial ecology, elimination, and nervous-system regulation.
The result is a foundational formula designed around whole-system nourishment rather than symptom chasing.

Whole-Food Feeding Recommendation
Core Essentials is designed to complement a species-appropriate, forage-first diet. Camelina Meal may be added to provide additional plant-based omega-3 fatty acids and naturally occurring vitamin E.
For a broader whole-food foundation, incorporate small amounts of appropriate fresh or minimally processed whole foods 3–4 times per week. Seasonal vegetables, fruits, seeds, herbs, and other horse-appropriate foods can add nutritional diversity, phytonutrients, natural fibers, antioxidants, and plant compounds that are not supplied by a single feed or supplement alone.
Core Essentials, Camelina Meal, quality forage, and regular whole-food additions together create a diverse nutritional foundation while allowing the horse’s primary diet to remain forage-centered.

NUTRITIONAL YEAST
Targeted Support:
Supports hindgut microbial ecology, fiber utilization, digestive efficiency, and nutritional status.
Whole-Systems Support:
Provides amino acids, peptides, beta-glucans, nucleotides, and naturally occurring B-complex cofactors that contribute to energy metabolism, tissue maintenance, immune communication, and normal intestinal function.
Nutritional Contribution:
A concentrated source of protein and amino acids with naturally occurring B vitamins and minerals. Nutrient concentrations vary by yeast strain and processing; it is used here as a whole-food nutritional ingredient rather than a standardized vitamin supplement.
OLIVE LEAF
Targeted Support:
Supports immune surveillance, antioxidant defense, vascular integrity, and microbial balance.
Whole-Systems Support:
Rich in secoiridoids and polyphenols, particularly oleuropein and related compounds, olive leaf supports normal inflammatory signaling, circulation, cellular protection, and physiological resilience during environmental or metabolic stress.
Nutritional Contribution:
Used primarily for its oleuropein, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, and other phytochemistry rather than for significant vitamin or mineral contribution.
AMALAKI (AMLA)
Targeted Support:
Supports antioxidant defense, immune resilience, digestion, connective tissue integrity, and cellular repair.
Whole-Systems Support:
Amla contains hydrolyzable tannins, gallic and ellagic acid derivatives, flavonoids, organic acids, and vitamin C-associated antioxidant compounds. This broad phytochemical matrix supports collagen maintenance, vascular health, gastrointestinal function, normal inflammatory balance, and protection against oxidative stress.
Nutritional Contribution:
Provides vitamin C-associated compounds, polyphenols, pectin, organic acids, plant fiber, and small amounts of minerals. Its value comes from the whole-fruit matrix rather than vitamin C alone.
PEPPERMINT LEAF
Targeted Support:
Supports digestive comfort, normal motility, gas management, appetite, and respiratory ease.
Whole-Systems Support:
Menthol, menthone, rosmarinic acid, flavonoids, and other aromatic constituents influence smooth muscle, sensory receptors, digestive secretions, and respiratory tissues. Peppermint also provides mild cooling, carminative, and nervous-system settling actions where digestive and autonomic function intersect.
Nutritional Contribution:
Provides volatile oils, flavonoids, phenolic acids, chlorophyll, and modest mineral content. Its primary contribution is phytochemical rather than nutritive.
FENUGREEK SEED
Targeted Support:
Supports appetite, digestive function, intestinal mucosa, carbohydrate metabolism, and nutritional assimilation.
Whole-Systems Support:
Fenugreek contains soluble mucilage, galactomannans, steroidal saponins, alkaloids such as trigonelline, amino acids, and aromatic compounds. Its soluble fibers support the gastrointestinal environment and influence nutrient absorption, while its bitters and aromatic fractions support digestive secretions and metabolic regulation.

Reviews
My horses love this blend so much! I feed this to my youngest, 8 months old and my 12 and 14 year old and they just love it. I have also noticed they just look and feel better in general, shinier coats, great hoof growth, more energy. It's a beautiful blend and smells delicious. I started this by the way after doing the 12 day detox on all my horses. Fabulous company, wonderful and knowledgeable owner. I am so grateful.
