Meet Debbi – Founder of Wholehearted Harmony
Hi, I’m Debbi Baglione, founder of Wholehearted Harmony.
Formerly known as The Natural Equine, my journey into holistic healing was never something I planned to turn into a business. It began as something deeply personal — rooted in observation, intuition, and a refusal to ignore what didn’t sit right.
Listening When Something Didn’t Sit Right
In the mid-1990s, I stepped away from the horse world as a trainer — at a time when questioning traditional practices wasn’t common, and advocating for a more holistic approach was often met with resistance. Not because I stopped loving horses, but because I could no longer reconcile what I was witnessing with what I knew to be true.
My intuition was clear: this isn’t how healing works.
I didn’t yet know where that realization would lead — only that I had to listen.
Years later, a meeting with a barefoot trimmer in Kentucky reignited that knowing. Their approach to hoof care was thoughtful, functional, and deeply respectful of the horse. What began as a focus on hooves expanded into something much larger: a commitment to understanding the body as a whole and supporting healing from the root outward.
A Foundation Rooted in Both Science and Intuition
Although my early horsemanship was shaped by traditional systems, my upbringing was anything but conventional.
My father was a classically trained veterinarian who later became a holistic doctor, bringing Eastern medicine, nutrition, and energetic healing into our home long before it was widely accepted. Herbs were not an “alternative” in our household — they were foundational.
Long before earning formal credentials, I was studying plants, observing their effects, and learning how they interact within living systems. Herbalism has been part of my life for decades, with more than ten years of focused study and practical application before completing my advanced education.
From a young age, I also recognized an ability to perceive subtle shifts — particularly in horses. Not communication in a mystical sense, but an awareness that informed how I observed movement, tension, behavior, and imbalance.
There were no clear programs for what I was uncovering at the time, so I became a student of the horse.
I sought mentors, studied anatomy and muscle systems, read veterinary and nutrition texts, and immersed myself in integrative bodywork and holistic care. Even when this approach was questioned or dismissed, I continued learning, refining, and helping horses others had run out of options for.
Grounding Lived Experience with Advanced Education
As my work deepened, I pursued formal training to ground lived experience with structured education.
In August 2022, I earned my Advanced Master Herbalist degree, formalizing what had already been years of dedicated study and hands-on application. I went on to develop a full line of custom herbal blends, teas, salves, and artisan soaps for horses, dogs, cats, and people.
Every formula is intentionally created — ethically sourced, thoughtfully combined, and never randomly mixed or symptom-driven.
Through years of formulation, refinement, and real-world use, I have worked with hundreds to thousands of horses, observing consistent patterns that reinforce one truth:
When the body is supported correctly, it knows how to heal.
My Approach
My work is layered, intentional, biology forward, whole systems focus and always centered on root-cause healing.
It begins with:
-
Proper nutrition and species-appropriate diets
-
Support for foundational systems such as digestion, detoxification, circulation, and the nervous system
-
Consideration of movement, structure, and functional balance
For horses, this approach integrates hands-on equine bodywork with a strong focus on the nervous system, tension patterns, and trauma — including gentle birth-trauma release for foals.
I also recognize emotional and energetic health as inseparable from physical well-being.
I do not chase symptoms.
I look for patterns.
I listen — to the animal, to the history, and to what the body is expressing beneath the surface.
Healing is rarely linear, and it is not always fast. But when the whole being is supported — body, mind, and environment — meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
Wholehearted Harmony’s Promise
At Wholehearted Harmony, everything we offer is rooted in intentional, educated, and compassionate care.
Our herbal blends are meticulously formulated — never randomly combined — through years of education, experience, and a deep respect for the complexity of the body. We do not chase symptoms. We focus on uncovering and supporting the root cause of imbalance.
This philosophy extends to all of our work, including equine integrative bodywork and holistic consultations for animals and people. Every service is grounded in whole-body wellness, honoring the connection between physical, emotional, and environmental influences.
We only use high-quality herbs that are organic or responsibly wildcrafted, non-GMO, and kosher — carefully sourced to support safety, integrity, and effectiveness — because ingredient quality matters.
Many who find us do so after feeling unheard or knowing something deeper is being missed. Here, you — and your animal — are listened to. Observation matters. History matters. And healing is approached with care, patience, and purpose.
Your health, and the health of your animal companions, is never taken lightly.
Everything at Wholehearted Harmony is created with integrity, intention, and respect for the body’s natural wisdom.
A Name That Reflects the Work
In 2024, following a period of deep personal and spiritual transformation, I changed the name of my business to reflect the heart of my work.
Wholehearted Harmony is the culmination of decades of observation, education, and lived experience. It is a space where science and intuition coexist, where care is intentional rather than rushed, and where animals and people are seen — and supported — as whole.
To those who have trusted me with their animals or their own healing journey: thank you.
This work exists because of that trust, and I am honored to continue walking this path alongside you.
