Equine Digestive Regulation & Mucosal Resilience
Equine Digestive Regulation & Mucosal Resilience is a whole-systems Functional master herbal formulation designed to support gastrointestinal integrity, digestive regulation, microbial balance, normal motility, mucosal protection, and the nervous-system pathways that influence digestive function.
The equine gastrointestinal tract does far more than break down food. It is a highly active biological environment involving the stomach and intestinal mucosa, microbial populations, digestive secretions, smooth-muscle movement, immune activity, nutrient assimilation, fluid balance, and continuous communication with the nervous system.
For that reason, digestive concerns should not automatically be viewed as isolated problems within the stomach or hindgut. Stress physiology, forage intake, feeding patterns, medications, inflammation, microbial disruption, nervous-system state, hydration, and the horse’s larger nutritional foundation can all influence how efficiently the gastrointestinal system regulates itself.
Rather than formulating separately for every digestive symptom, Wholehearted Harmony approaches digestive physiology through the relationships that help the system function as a whole. Demulcent botanicals help protect and soothe mucosal tissues; aromatic herbs support motility, digestive comfort, and secretions; soluble fibers contribute to stool regulation and microbial ecology; and gentle nervines support the gut–brain relationship where digestive and autonomic function continually intersect.
The result is not simply an “ulcer blend,” “gas blend,” or “loose manure blend.” It is a broader Functional formulation designed to support the biological environment required for digestive stability, tissue resilience, appropriate movement, and recovery.
Rooted in a species-appropriate, forage-first framework, Equine Digestive Regulation & Mucosal Resilience works best when the horse’s feeding program also respects equine digestive physiology through adequate forage availability, appropriate feeding intervals, hydration, movement, and nutritional balance.
Who This Blend Is For
- Horses needing additional support for gastrointestinal comfort and mucosal integrity
- Horses with recurring digestive sensitivity, gas, bloating, or inconsistent manure
- Horses requiring additional support during periods of increased physiological or environmental stress
- Horses recovering from circumstances that have disrupted normal digestive function or microbial balance
- Horses whose digestive patterns suggest a relationship between gastrointestinal and nervous-system regulation
Digestive Symptoms Deserve Context
Persistent digestive changes should not automatically be assumed to have a single cause. Gastric ulceration, colonic disease, dental problems, parasites, dietary imbalance, pain, medication effects, infectious disease, and other conditions can produce overlapping signs.
How This Blend Fits Into a Whole-Horse Plan
Equine Digestive Regulation & Mucosal Resilience belongs within Wholehearted Harmony’s Functional Support layer. Digestive physiology is strongly influenced by the horse’s nutritional foundation, forage intake, stress load, movement, environment, and nervous-system state. For chronic or recurring digestive concerns, those relationships should be evaluated alongside the use of concentrated herbal support.
Using With Core Essentials & Other Formulations
If your horse is currently receiving a Wholehearted Harmony Core Essentials formulation, Transitional protocol, or another Functional formulation, please contact Wholehearted Harmony before adding Equine Digestive Regulation & Mucosal Resilience.
Functional formulations are not automatically layered at full labeled feeding amounts. The appropriate combination depends on the specific formulations being used, botanical overlap, digestive history, current health needs, and the individual horse. Feeding amounts may need to be adjusted to preserve the intended balance and synergy of the formulations.
Feeding & Use Notes

Reviews
I can't even begin to express how thrilled I am with this blend. I have a hear of 6 and not all have issues, so using this in a variation of doses and watching my horses heal or just feel better in general is amazing. By ulcers and leaky gut, hello improved appetite and energy! I am so grateful for Debbi and her knowledge. Switching over to a more natural diet has never been easier. I use this blend with both the Essentials and Senior Essentials and what a difference. Thank you for doing what you do! I also have a friends horse on the EPM support and he is doing amazingly better.
Hank is somewhere in his early 20s. When I got him, he had amazingly bad diarrhea. Former owner tried everything + lots of vet work. 3 years later he had improved some, but still had really runny poop. Enter this amazing product! I've been feeding Hank a quarter cup of this now for almost 3 months--boy has it made a difference! His poops are a little loose, but he definitely does not have the runs any more! This is the best he has ever been, and its obvious this is some sort of chronic condition that no vet can figure out. Even better, he loves eating this!
