Equine Calming Support (3 variations)
Calming a horse is not always the same as supporting the nervous system.
In today’s equine world, many behaviors are quickly labeled as anxiety, stress, or nervousness — and the default response is often to “calm” the horse. While calming herbs can be helpful in certain situations, using them without understanding why a horse is unsettled can unintentionally mask deeper issues rather than resolve them.
Nervous system dysregulation can stem from many underlying factors, including pain or discomfort, gut imbalance, hormonal shifts, environmental pressure, grief or herd dynamics, trauma, or inappropriate demands placed on the horse. In these cases, suppressing outward expression may quiet behavior, but it does not necessarily support true regulation or healing.
At Wholehearted Harmony, calming support is approached through a root-cause, nervous system–aware lens. Rather than relying on one generic calming blend, this offering is intentionally structured into three distinct formulations, each designed to meet the nervous system where it is — and to support regulation rather than suppression.
Some horses benefit from foundational stress resilience and adaptive support. Others need short-term settling during periods of transition or emotional upheaval. In certain situations, deeper, event-based support may be appropriate — but only for a limited time and with intention.
These three blends exist to reflect that reality. They allow calming support to be purposeful, time-bound, and responsive, instead of habitual or lifelong. By choosing the appropriate level of support, the nervous system is given the opportunity to process stress, return to balance, and regain its own capacity for regulation. These blends are best use with a forage base pellet or a soy free, non-gmo grain. This blends can be combines with other blends, but sometimes a custom blend is more ideal as to not have redundancy. Contact us or book a consultation for more details.

Foundational Nervous System Support
Calm & Regulate is designed to support the nervous system at a foundational level by promoting balance, resilience, and healthy stress adaptation over time. Rather than suppressing outward expression, this blend works by supporting the body’s natural ability to process stress and return to regulation, making it well-suited for horses experiencing ongoing or cumulative nervous system strain.
Many horses live under constant low-grade stress from environmental pressure, training demands, lifestyle changes, seasonal transitions, or emotional sensitivity. Over time, this can lead to nervous system dysregulation that shows up as reactivity, tension, digestive upset, difficulty settling, or changes in behavior. Calm & Regulate addresses these patterns by supporting the stress response system, gut–brain communication, and overall nervous system stability.
This blend is non-sedating and does not aim to “quiet” a horse. Instead, it supports adaptability and resilience, helping the nervous system respond more appropriately to stressors rather than remaining stuck in a heightened or reactive state.

I just wanted to let you know that the Equine Calming Support is AMAZING!!! The change in my Jimmy is so unbelievable.
